On building before you're ready and using what you have before it passes you by
“Crazy idea here but looking at what we’ve done so far, what if we finish the sprint and start focusing on a completely different direction of the business?”
Last week, one of my clients sent me that in a voice note.
We’d set up a three-month sprint to help with the creative side of his business. But what became clear in just the first two weeks was that our process was so well optimised, we’d already covered all three months of planned work.
The sprint went through such a rapid pace because we worked out exactly what each of us was supposed to do. On their side, that meant sharing raw, unfiltered ideas. My role was to consolidate, add structure, and systemize the work ahead.
But what’s changed is that we’re letting the tools we have pinpoint our gaps, so we always knew what was missing and what needed to come next.
A lot of the work I do has changed. It started as ghostwriting, copywriting, sales pages, email sequences. However, somewhere in the past six months it’s transformed into finding gaps in how someone works, filling them with the right ideas, systems, and helping them see what’s possible that they couldn’t see before.
And I can feel the shape forming through every project that ends with someone excited to keep going.
The builders, creatives, and founders I’m talking to right now feel different from a year ago. Those that are moving fastest got there by committing before they fully understood what they were building. They shipped before everything felt ready, learned rapidly, tested things, doubled down on what worked, and cut everything else.
Clarity is now a by-product of commitment to an idea instead of prior planning. And the tools available today mean the gap between an idea and output has genuinely never been smaller.
When you put that into perspective, we have access to free distribution via the internet and with AI limitless access to knowledge and the ability to extract how you think into a full creative operation.
If you’re a builder or someone with a vision that you haven’t yet made real — ride the wave. The window of free distribution, AI leverage, and ability to let your story drive results is one of the best opportunities we have to actually back our visions with conviction.
Attention and obsession matter more than starting capital or credentials. Don’t wait to feel ready first because that feeling doesn’t arrive the way you may expect it to. Ship something small. Talk to people every day. Test different skills. When something works, double down without hesitation. Learn faster, stay obsessed, and stay in motion.
That voice note was a reminder of what becomes possible when you do.
There’s no reason to slow down.
